ERC POSITION ON BALLOT PROPOSALS:
Proposal #1 - Vote Yes if you are for allowing the state's 2011 Emergency Manager law to stand, allowing EM's to take over management of financially failing schools and municipalities.
Proposal #2 "Protect Our Jobs" - Vote No to stop the unions from entrenching collective bargaining and compulsory union membership for public employees in the state constitution and to stop unions rolling back the reforms now underway.
Proposal #3 "25 by 25" - Vote No to the hugely expensive and job-killing renewable energy mandates of 25% renewable by 2025.
Proposal #4 - Vote No on forced unionization of private and family caregivers, to prevent the union making them government employees forced to pay union dues.
The ERC is not taking a position on Proposal 5 or 6, because there are varying views within our organization on each. We hope that you will seriously consider the ramifications inherent in each proposal and vote in the way that you believe will be the best for our state.
